Helen Long is an outpatient dietitian at Winchester Hospital. She is a certified diabetes educator, has a graduate degree in health care administration, and has over twenty years of experience in nutrition counseling. Helen contributes her time to cancer support groups, weight loss programs, and community nutrition programs. She enjoys working with a variety of patient issues (including diabetes, pediatric weight management, and gastrointestinal disorders) and helping people make simple lifestyle changes that have a positive impact on their health.
Helen lives locally and has three children. From her own family’s experience, she understands the many challenges of focusing on healthy family nutrition and the demands of busy schedules. In her spare time, Helen enjoys gardening & cooking.
In addition to her work at Winchester Hospital and the Family Medical Center in Wilmington, Helen sees patients in our office on most Wednesdays (by appointment only).
