Book an Appointment

How to reach us, depending on what your child needs.

Appointments

Getting your child seen

There are three ways in, and which one you want depends on whether your child is already a patient here and how soon they need to be seen.

Already a patient

The quickest route is the patient portal. You can request or schedule an appointment, see what’s already booked, and message the office without waiting on hold.

Sign in to MyChart

If you haven’t set up portal access yet, our MyChart page walks through it, and the office can send you an activation code.

Your child is sick today

Call us — don’t book online and don’t wait for a reply to a message. We keep same-day slots for children who are unwell, and the earlier in the day you call the more choice there is.

Outside office hours the same numbers reach our answering service, which will put you through to a triage nurse or the physician on call. More on what to expect is in Nurses’ Corner.

If this is an emergency — trouble breathing, a serious injury, or anything you’d normally call 911 for — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Don’t wait for a call back.

New to the practice

New families are welcome at both offices. Our New Patient Advocate, Paula Wood, handles first appointments and will talk you through what to bring and how to transfer records.

(781) 933-6236 ext. 1090

See New Patient Info for what happens at a first visit, and New Patient Forms for the paperwork you can fill in beforehand.

Booking a physical

School, sports and camp forms all come from the annual checkup, and late summer is the busiest stretch of the year for them. Booking well before the rush saves waiting — forms usually reach MyChart within 24 hours of a physical, though in August that can stretch to seven to ten days.

More on what the visit covers is on Well-Child Visits.

Which office

Both offices see patients by appointment, and current hours for each are on Locations. You’re welcome at either — many families use whichever is more convenient on the day.

If you need to cancel

Let us know as early as you can. A canceled slot almost always goes to another child who needs it, and it costs nothing to give it up.
