We’re excited that you’re considering Woburn & North Andover Pediatrics for your child’s care. Our goal is to make joining our practice as easy and seamless as possible.
Getting Started
Your first step is to contact our New Patient Coordinator. She will personally guide you through the process, answer your questions, and help make sure everything is in place for your child’s first visit.
What We’ll Help You Complete
Before your child’s first appointment, we’ll work with you to:
- Confirm that your insurance plan participates with our practice
- Update your child’s primary care provider with your insurance company, when required
- Obtain your child’s complete medical records from birth from previous providers
Having complete medical records helps our providers understand your child’s health history and provide the best possible care from the very first visit. These records may include immunization history, growth charts, previous office notes, newborn hospital records, and specialist notes.
You don’t have to navigate the process on your own. Our New Patient Advocate will walk you through each step and help make your family’s transition to our practice as smooth as possible.

Your first visit
Arrive at least fifteen minutes early to go through pre-visit paperwork, and bring your child’s insurance card so we can scan it.
Expecting a baby
If you’re joining us with a newborn, check first that we accept the insurance your baby will have and that the pediatrician you’ve chosen is taking new patients.
Prenatal consults are available if you’d like to see the office and meet a pediatrician beforehand. It’s short — a look around, how we work, and time with a doctor for your questions. Contact the New Patient Advocate to arrange one.
Your obstetrician or the hospital will ask who you’ve chosen as your child’s primary care physician. On the day your baby is discharged, call us to book the newborn visit — we like to see new arrivals two days after they leave hospital.
Vaccines
We follow the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Our full vaccine policy is available in the documents on this page.
The paperwork itself is on New Patient Forms — filling it in beforehand saves time at the first visit.
